The word for today is "God loves you." What a wonderful thought! Pass it on. Take the time today to tell someone that God loves them. It can make a difference in their life and yours as well.

The ladies have announced their "Mission of the Month" for May and June. During these months you will be able to give $22 for a Child's Heart. The wonderful people at Samaritan's Purse send children from poor families around the world to the United States for heart surgery. It costs about $2200.00 for one child to fly to America, have the surgery and fly home. We are asking you to take an envelope from the table in the foyer, put your dollars in it, marking off a heart for each dollar, then bring the envelope back to the church and give it to Beth, Marti, Julie or Olivia. Thank you for your generosity.

Upcoming events: Brother Danny will start a "Chronological Bible Storytelling" series for Sunday evening classes starting in June. These should be interesting and fun. Missionaries often use this form to help natives understand the principles of the stories in the Bible. It will give you a new prospective of some of the Bible stories you have heard throughout your life. Come join us for this series.

On Wednesday evenings, Brother Danny will be preaching on "Facing Your Giants." He will start that series soon as well. It sounds interesting, and I am looking forward to these lessons. Then, the last Wednesday of May (May 30) we will have a joint session with our youth again. We will begin at 5:30 p.m. with an Ice Cream Social. It promises to be a lot of fun. Come join us.

Have you enjoyed the new format for the evening services? Would you like to continue this format? Since we had said that this would be a trial for the Spring quarter, we will be bringing this issue up at the May Busienss Meeting. Sorry that we didn't have enough time to bring it up in the April meeting. We did get some comments at the April meeting, but votes will come during the May meeting. Come express your preferences for these classes. It will be Wednesday, May 9th in the HOPE Fellowship Hall. Time is 6:30 p.m.

Our pre-teen boys' classes are still going strong. How about your pre-teen boy? Is he signed up for this class as well? The class is similar to RAs, but we are not using the RA material. These young men have signed up to be involved in learning God's Word. Never put down the youth of this country; many of them are growing up to be strong, God fearing Christians, so I believe our country will be safe in their hands in the future. As this group grows, we may need to find new space for them to meet for their activities.

Our Sunday evening services are held at 6:00 and our Wednesday evening services begin at 6:30. We would love to have you join us.
