CHANDLER ELEMENTARY CELEBRATES TEXAS DAY - - These five cowpokes rode in off the dusty trail to celebrate Texas Day at Chandler Elementary School Friday. As part of a study on Texas cowboy history, the Kindergarten class learned about how the life of a cowboy through special activities geared toward the cowboy days. They learned how cowboys survived without electricity or running water and made do with what they had. Pictured (L-R) Marti Jo Lawhorn, Eddie Wyatt, Zack Hutcherson, Hunter Brackett, and Tiler Long are saddled up and ready to run barrels.
