Blue Moon Gardens plans spring open house

Celebrate the coming of spring with programs, snacks and beautiful surroundings at Blue Moon Gardens Spring Open House Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

Programs:

10 a.m. - Jackson York, Executive Chef from Edom Bakery and Grill shares his secrets of harvesting and cooking with fresh herbs. Samples and recipes are included in his presentation.

11:30 - Sandy Golden, owner of Sandy's Flower Farm in Edom, is a cut flower specialist. She tells which flowers are best for cut arrangements, and how to grow them here.

1:30 - Joe Abbet, a landscape designer from Dallas, will give tips for creating lovely landscapes with perennials.

2:30 - Lori Huffines, Pastry Chef from Edom Bakery and Grill, shows how to use fresh herbs in desserts. Samples and recipes are included in this delicious program.

There will also be demonstrations and samples of natural products for the home from Caldrea and organic products for the lawn and garden from several manufacturers.

Blue Moon Gardens is located 4.5 miles east of Edom on FM 279.
