Letters To The Editor I wonder how many citizens of Chandler, besides myself, are getting sick and tired of not being able to get out of our driveways or go down the road behind The Donut Shop in Chandler without having to shout at people to move so we can get to where we need to go. The City Council needs to address this problem with the business owner before something happens. Cathy Carter, Chandler ----------------------------- The question is: Competence or Incompetence! After reading The Athens Review of 4/21/07 pertaining to the continuing hospital debacle, it is my opinion that we as taxpayers deserve more than we are getting from our County Attorney. In the past 2+ years the County Attorney has constantly stirred the pot over issues that he has perceived to be injustices, or issues that he has neither the intellect nor the ability to comprehend the complexity of. In any case, his continuous pot-stirring and then stepping aside and having outside counsel to conduct the impending litigation is an affront to the taxpayers of Henderson County. In my opinion, if the County Attorney is unable or unwilling to perform his job as the county's chief legal officer, then he must perform the noblest of actions -- quit and get out of the way! Nuff said. Ray Smith Murchison |
