Faith Baptist Chandler Our weekly worship services continue to be a blessing with great preaching and inspiring music. We welcome the many guests in our services. Dick Jarrett recently returned home from a mission trip to Armenia. He told of his experience there during our evening worship service. The Women's Ministries of Faith Baptist had their monthly playday at Breckenridge Village. Mary Waddill and Wanda Jarrett hosted games, prizes, and refreshments with the Ladies of "House One." Pam Wyatt, from Faith Baptist Church attended the Ladies Spring Luncheon hosted by "Breckenridge Ladies Auxiliary. " Approximately 200 women attended the Luncheon April 28, 2007. Christine Nelson with KLTV Channel 7 was the Mistress of Ceremonies. The guests enjoyed a meal prepared by Traditions. Also, the guests were entertained by the trio "One Voice." The guest speaker was Cindy Dykes, wife of Bro. David Dykes, pastor of Green Acres Baptist Church. Cindy is a much loved speaker for various women's, marriage and Sunday school leadership conferences. Her love of humor added with wisdom and grace make her a much sought after public speaker. A welcome reception to Chandler and Faith Baptist Church was held honoring the Darst family on Sunday, April 29, at the home of Paul and Cathy Carver's home. A large number of friends attended. The "Sewing Seeds" group met last week at Benita Carver's ranch home to make girls' sundresses and other items to take on the women's mission trip to Acuna June 6- 10. Faith Baptist will be honoring our Veterans on Sunday, May 27, in the morning worship service. All Veterans will be recognized. Anyone having a family member who was a Veteran or is currently serving in the armed forces is encouraged to submit a picture (preferably in uniform) for our Table of Honor. Also, Bro. David will prepare a short multi-media presentation. The choir is also preparing special patriotic music. For additional information, contact Maxine Barnes at 903/849-3723. Nita and Warren LeMaster attended a family reunion Saturday. Patti Markgraf has returned home from a visit with her sister. The annual Mother's Day Brunch will be held Saturday, May 5, from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. This year's theme is "I Love Old Things." Ladies, mark your calendar and make plans to attend. Plans are underway for Vacation Bible School scheduled for July 8-12. Additional information will follow.
