Edna B. Leach

Funeral services for Edna B. Leach, 92, Brownsboro, were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, Brownsboro with the Rev. Marvin Cole officiating.

Burial was in Rock Hill Cemetery under direction of Carroll- Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.

Mrs. Leach died May 1, 2007, in Tyler. She was born May 26, 1914, in Broken Bow, Neb., to the late Ellis F. and Olive Arizona Smith Reger.

She lived in Brownsboro since 1936 and was a member of First Baptist Church, Brownsboro, where she served as pianist. She retired as a licensed vocational nurse in 1975, after working in Athens and Tyler. She was a Meals on Wheels volunteer, and loved needlework and quilting.

After her retirement, in order to take care of a son that had been involved in an accident and to bring him home, she nursed him around the clock at her residence for three years.

Mrs. Leach was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Terrell H. Leach; son, Arnold Eugene Leach; grandson, David Hashem; granddaughter, Brenda Williams; and greatgrandson, Joseph Bennett.

Survivors include sons, Hamilton Leach, Chandler, and Norman Leach, Red Oak; daughters, Catherine Crawford, Brownsboro, Elizabeth Boroughs, Balch Springs, Deloros Bennett, Pilot Point, Marie Hashem, Starr, Rebecca Justus, Garland, Patricia Warren, Tyler, and Sharon Morse, Breckenridge; 30 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were grandsons, Donald Crawford, David Crawford, George Leach, Terrell Bennett, Stanley Bennett, James Bennett, Freddy Bennett, Eddy Bennett, Wayne Bennett, Weldon Bennett, John Hashem, Scott Justus, Tony Warren, Steven Leach and Richard Morse.
