REFLECTIONS
Reflections of the bay
On a starry night
Shining with wonder
That is of pure delight.
In the morning
It will be gone
Silently singing
Its farewell song.
  by Connie Kay Suddarth
      RAINDROPS
Early in the morning, a subtle rain
Gently falls on the wooden pane.
Glimmering raindrops fall like tears from the sky,
Where broken and forgotten dreams lie.
But yet it's not a graveyard of buried dreams,
Even though sometimes that's the way it seems.
Dreams fall and dreams arise,
Such an activity for the dark grey skies.
Slowly the rains start to slow,
The stream has now created a steady flow,
The rain has stopped and silence is aware
It has moistened the grass and the trees that are bare,
Sadly the rain has gone away,
But it will surely come another day.
  by Brianna Howard, age 11
  I KNOW WHOSE I AM
Satan tried to tell me I was nobody,
But I found out in the Word Whose I am.
It says in Jesus Christ, I'm a joint heir
And a part of the family of Abraham.
I've been saved, got the Holy Ghost, and the power
Born again with a boldness, I've been set free.
I'm a conqueror, and overcomer, a son of God
And I won't let the devil run over me.
When sickness, doubt or discouragement
Tries to overtake me,
I speak forth the Word and know that it's heard,
Then Satan has no choice but to flee.
I've got a big Brother in heaven
Who talks to the Father for me.
When I have a need, He intercedes
And tells the Father, "This one's with me."
