God's Open Hands extends a great thank you to the Chandler community and all the postal carriers who made Saturday's 15th annual "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive , sponsored by the U.S. Postal Service and Campbell Soup Co., among other businesses and organizations, a success.
God's Open Hands president Pat Martin said two huge pick up truck loads were collected and turned over to God's Open Hands volunteers.
"We appreciate the continued support of individuals and businesses," she said. "We are supported strictly by donations. The price of a food box has gone up tremendously over the years and the need is great."
Martin said there are no paid personnel at God's Open Hands. All are volunteers.
