Recruiting Seminar planned for June 6

The Workforce Investment Act Program, located in the East Texas Workforce Center on 205 Murchison Street in Athens, is conducting a recruiting seminar at the center on Wednesday, June 6th, at 10:00 for CEO classes (Community Employment Opportunity).

The WIA program will be holding classes on how to write a resume, job interviewing techniques, and help with finding jobs. The classes are for youth 18-21 years of age that have graduated from high school. Youth may earn $2.50 per hour for each hour attended, with a $50.00 incentive given for completing all 20 hours of class.

The application process takes approximately a week, so interested persons need to call as soon as possible for appointments. Interested persons may call 903-677-3521 and ask about the CEO classes.
