On Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16, everyone is invited to the Second Annual Lake Palestine Poker Run sponsored by Pillsbury GMAC Real Estate Lake Palestine office.

This year's event will benefit the Tyler area American Cancer Society.

A free Barbecue and Captain's Party has been added this year for Friday evening.

"What is a Poker Run?"

It's much like a road rally or scavenger hunt.

The objective is to visit seven designated boathouses on Lake Palestine. At each boathouse participants will draw a card, to receive their next clue to find the next boathouse.

The team with the "Best Hand" at the end of the day will win the big trophy and grand prize.

It's all about fun on beautiful Lake Palestine and the best poker hand wins.

The event's agenda is as follows:

Friday, June 15 - 5-9pm, Captain and crew meeting/ Bar-B-Q, silent auction & fun

Saturday, June 16 - 11am, Official check-in and issue of first clue.

11:30am - National Anthem and start of 2nd Annual Lake Palestine Poker Run

3:30pm - Poker Hands revealed

4:00pm - Award Ceremony

Entry fee is $50 per boat entry, with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
