Graveside services for Ms. Elaine Francine Rivers, 72, of Tyler, Texas, were held Sunday, June 3, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Jennings Mountain Cemetery in Brownsboro with Bro. Terry Don Adair officiating.

Burial was in Jennings Mountain Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Ms. Rivers died June 1, 2007 at her residence in Tyler. She was born March 26, 1935 in Chandler, Texas, and had lived in the Tyler area for approximately 20 years and worked as ward clerk in a hospital.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Lane L. and Frances Matthews; brothers, G.L. Matthews and Albert Matthews.

Survivors include sons, Weldon Donald Rivers of Mankato, Minnesota and Wylie Glenn Rivers of Dallas, Texas; daughters, Belinda Kay Rivers of Tyler and Linda Joyce Rivers Taylor of Grand Prairie, Texas; brother, Jerry Wayne Matthews of Sasche, Texas; sisters, Virginia Ann Houchen of Tyler, Sharon Tharp of Brownsboro and Yvonne Smith of Tyler; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers were Bill Roberts, Joseph Matthews, Larry Roberts, Gary Taylor, Terry Tharp.
