TWO ON A SWING
In the garden, two children play;
A boy, a girl, and a swing.
Content and happy, two joyful souls,
A sunny day, a blue sky, birds on the bough.
The boy and girl in a world all their own;
He whispers secrets in her ear,
She replies with girlish giggles.
The boy gently pushes the girl on the swing
Then joins her, standing behind her
He works the swing to and fro,
Higher and higher, reaching the tree tops.
A peaceful scene with two innocent souls
Bound together in friendship and love.
by Jean Mancini
THIS AIN'T IT
Some folks say we've got it all
Right down here on Earth,
But God promised us a whole lot more
At the second birth.
I've got news for those who doubt
What God said is true.
Go search the scriptures for yourself,
Find out His promise to you.
Let's get busy and I mean right now,
There's no time to wait,
For we must reach those who are lost
Before it is too late.
Let's hit the streets and bring them in
Maybe then they will see
That Jesus loves each and every one,
And he wants to set them free.
Let's spread the Word far and wide
So every one will know,
That our God is still upon the throne
And that He reigns Supreme.
We must get our lives straightend out
For it's Heaven or Hell.
Yes, it's a choice we all have to make,
Satan's lies we must repel.
`Cause this ain't it, no, this ain't it
There's a whole lot more a-coming; this ain't it!

COUNTRY SUNDAY MORNING
There's nothing like the stillness,
The reverential peace
Of a country Sunday morning coming down -
The dew-covered fields lay quiet
Kissed by the first rays
Of a slowly rising sun pushing away
The last shadows of dawn,
And for a few moments
The tree tops all wear a golden crown.
Going about their morning,
Even the birds are subdued,
As if they, too, feel the awe
Of this special day.
Savor its beauty and peace,
It's truly a gift of God.
