H.E.A.T. is an acronym for Help End And Treat, and the proceeds will go towards a fund that will assist families in our community that deal with life changing diagnosis and illness of juveniles.

Teams from the BMC Sr. Midget and Freshman divisions participated in the tournament as well as teams from Van and Whitehouse.

The Whitehouse Mad Dawgs defeated the BMC Red Stallions 15-0 for first place in the Sr Midget division. BMC's Red Storm defeated the Whitehouse Bomb Squad 10-0 for the Freshman division title.

In homerun derby Jake Boyd won first in the freshman division while Caleb Seale won first in the Sr Midget division.

"It looked a little iffy on Sunday after the heavy rain whether or not the games would get to be played," said Rick Ford, Chandler Park Board President.

"But thanks to the help of about 20 coaches who worked hard getting the fields back in shape, they were able to get all of the games in. They did an amazing job. Also, a special thanks goes to Jack Moore and tournament director Michelle Costlow for all the behind the scenes work they did."

Ford said BMC hoped to make the tournament an annual event and other fund raisers throughout the year may be added.
