Baseball & Girls Basketball camps on tap for June 18-20 More sports learning is in store for your young athlete as the Brownsboro coaching staff will hold their annual baseball and girls basketball camps the week of June 18. Coach Fred Griffin will hold the Bearette Basketball camp Monday-Friday from 8:00-11:30am each day. Coach Paul Drake will hold the baseball camp Monday-Wednesday from 8:30-12:00 daily. The cost of each camp is $35. For a basketball registration form go online to the school's website and click on summer camps under the organizations tab. A baseball registration form is attached below. The baseball camp is sponsored by Lowe Custom Builders and is for kids ages 7-14 or going into the second grade. Campers must be 7 years old by September 1. Due to UIL rules no student entering the 10th grade may participate in the camp. Students will receive a camp t-shirt and will need to bring their own baseball gloves. There will be bats, helmets and balls provided. All players will be covered under accidental insurance and there will be an athletic trainer on hand if needed. The camp will take place on the high school baseball field located behind the Intermediate school. Walk ups are accepted. The Bearette basketball camp is sponsored by Tommy Williams Drywall, Azalea Orthopedics and 1st State Bank of Brownsboro. Campers will receive a tshirt, lunch cooler and a regulation women's basketball once the 5-day camp is complete. Age limits are 7-14 and like the baseball camp no student under 7 years old or going into the 10th grade may participate in the camp. The camp will be in the Brownsboro High School gym and will start at 8:30am daily. For more camp information call the Brownsboro High School Athletic office at 903-852-3811.
