Faith Baptist Chandler
by Melva Allison

We welcome new members, Allen and Pam Moore to our church family.

We are always proud to have new members join us, and are also appreciative of the many guests who worship with us weekly.

As we celebrated Father's Day Sunday, it was a blessing to see so many fathers in our worship service. Many famiwished lies had lunch with, and visited with their fathers on this special occasion.

A potluck dinner, followed by the observance of the Lord's Supper, will be held next Sunday at 6:00 p.m.

Remember the men's prayer breakfast every Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m. All men are encouraged to join them for breakfast, Bible study, and prayer.

The ladies prayer time is held on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 10:45 a.m. at the church. Their next meeting will be June 21.

Vacation Bible School is coming up fast. Mark your calendars and bring your children. Vacation Bible School will be held July 8-12 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday nights, with a meal served each night.

Courtney Allison and Chris Douzart were married in a beautiful ceremony Friday afternoon at Faith Baptist Church. After a honeymoon cruise with ports of call in Cozumel and other places in Mexico, the couple will reside in Oakdale, Louisiana.

Our condolences are extended to the family of Irba Norwood Cooper, formerly of Chandler, who passed away last week. Military graveside services were held at the Chandler Cemetery Friday. Mr. Cooper is survived by two sisters, Altha Cooper Crocker and Bessie Ruth Cooper Brown of Rockwall; and two nieces, Joyce Jordan of Brownsboro, and Benita Carver of Chandler.

We also extend our condolences to the families of Patty Markgraf, Nita LeMaster, and Lou Turner. Patty's son passed away last week. His funeral services were held Monday at the Assembly of God Church in Chandler. Nita's nephew and Lou's aunt also passed away last week.
