Lt. Col. William Rozell, Jr.

Services for Lt. Col. William F. Rozell, Jr., 82 of Tyler, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stewart Family Funeral Home, Tyler, with the Rev. Dennis Newburn officiating.

Burial was in Tyler Memorial Park.

Col. Rozell died June 17, 2007, in a Tyler hospice.

He was born November 21, 1924 in the Swan community to William F. Sr. and Nora Mae Hendricks Rozell. He attended schools in Swan, Dixie and Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Libby Jean Allen, and brother, James Morris Rozell.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Meleese Rozell, Tyler; son, Robert Scott Rozell, Sr., Bridge City; daughters, Paula Irene Falkenmayer, Berryville, and Linda Jean Watson, Whitehouse; stepsons, Ronnie Reeves, Chandler, and Randy Reeves, Tyler; brothers, Peter Bruce Rozell and Billy Joe Rozell, both of Tyler; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Eddie Walker, Daniel Reeves, Matthew Reeves, J.C. Grumbles, Scott Rozell, Darren Polk, Dewayne Rozell and Randy Schultz.
