Bear Basketball Camp draws 98 students

COACHES AWARD WINNERS-- These boys displayed excellent sportsmanship throughout the camp and were awarded the Coaches Award during the awards ceremony of Friday.

In just his second year as camp instructor at BHS Coach Jeff Hutchins drew 98 boys to the Annual Bear Basketball Camp last Monday-Friday.

At the conclusion of camp on Friday the boys were awarded with ribbons and medals for their efforts in various events throughout the camp.

"Thanks to 1st State Bank of Brownsboro and Tommy Williams Drywall Co. for helping sponsor our camp. The camp was a success and we are excited about the future of Brownsboro Basketball. " Hutchins stated.

Five boys were awarded with the "Coaches Award." The award went to the athlete who displayed great sportsmanship throughout the camp. Winners were Carson Booth, Wyatt Rinehart, Rusty Hayes, Gabe Grantham and Chris Delaney.

Boys attending the camp received a lunch pack, t-shirt and a regulation men's basketball. There was also a team competition during the camp.

Coaches assisting in the camp were Billy Beasley, Seth Scott, Paul Drake, Kent Bradley.

ANNUAL BEAR BASKETBALL CAMP-- Pictured are some of the 98 boys that attended the Annual Bear Basketball Camp June 11-15. The camp taught basic Basketball fundamentals as well as character traits a good athlete must have. Coach Jeff Hutchins was impressed with the attendance in his second camp at Brownsboro.

Four boys won first place in 2 of the 3 competitions they competed in.
