16-year-old stabbed, suspect still at large

Henderson County Sheriff 's Deputies are investigating an assault that left a 16-year-old juvenile in a Tyler hospital.
A warrant has been issued for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on the suspect, Michael Andrew McFarlin, a 19-year-old white male from Tyler, who is accused of stabbing the juvenile just after midnight Sunday morning at a residence on Farm-to-Market Road 315, next door to the Sunrise Assembly of God Church.
McFarlin is already a fugitive on a warrant to revoke probation stemming from previous drug charges.
According to Lt. Pat McWilliams, information officer for the Sheriff 's Department, the victim suffered a knife stab or cut to the left abdominal area. He was transported by ambulance to Westside Volunteer Fire Department where he was then air lifted to ETMC-Tyler.
Lead investigator on this case, Wick Gabbard, said the victim's parents indicated the juvenile may be moved out of Intensive Care Unit into a private room some time this week.
Henderson County Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to McFarlin's arrest.
