SLIPPERY MISHAP -- No injuries were reported when this 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pick up truck driven by Bradley Allen Rogers, 20, of Chandler, left the roadway and ended up in Lake Palestine, Monday afternoon. Rogers said he was northbound on Farm-to-Market Road 315, just north of FM 3079, on the Lake Palestine Bridge, when he attempted to pass a vehicle. Recent rain had left the roadway wet. While in the passing lane, the rear end of Rogers' vehicle began to slide around and hooked up on the bridge's guard rail. Taking out the guard rail, the truck rolled over down the embankment and came to a rest upside down partially submerged in the water. Rogers said he unhooked his seatbelt and crawled out. Rogers was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
