John R. Harber Jr.

Memorial graveside services for John Richard "Ricky" Harber Jr., 51, Brownsboro, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Oaklawn Cemetery, Cooper, under direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.

Mr. Harber died June 21, 2007 in a Tyler hospital.

He was born December 12, 1955, in Clarksville to the late John Richard Sr. and Kay Lavelle Kinslow Harber. He was a 1974 graduate of Clarksville High School, served in the Army in Korea, and was an oil field rig manager for Global Petroleum Services. He also had worked for Ecco Drilling in Tyler.

Survivors include his wife, Lynne, Brownsboro; sons, Duce and Zeke, Brownsboro; sisters, Lisa Routh and Glenda McCord, both of Athens; nieces and nephews.
