Martha Lou Miller

Graveside services for Martha Lou Miller, 74, Edom, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ingram Cemetery with Pastor Walter Jones officiating under direction of Hilliard Funeral Home, Van.

Mrs. Miller died June 18, 2007, in Tyler.

She was born September 24, 1932 in Van Zandt County to the late Roy and Laura Hoskins Gandy and was a lifelong resident of the Edom area. She owned and operated A.V. Smith Asphalt Co., and was a member of Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, A.V. Smith and Bobby Miller; sister, Mary Alexander; and two great-grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, Roy "Buddy" Smith, Edom, and Sammy Smith, Van; daughter, Theresa Rice, Tombstone, Arizona; sister, Linda Chapman, Edom; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
