Lucille Brown Steed

Services for Mrs. Lucille Brown Steed, 88, Chandler, were held Friday, June 29, 2007 at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home chapel, with Bro. Bob Sexton officiating.

Burial was in Lindale Cemetery in Lindale, Texas, under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Steed died June 26, 2007 in Hospice of East Texas.

She was born January 24, 1919 in Mt. Sylvan, Texas and attended schools at Van and Lindale. She had lived in the Chandler area for approximately 20 years, was a member of West Lake Baptist Church, and a homemaker.

Mrs. Steed was preceded in death by her husbands, Cearil J. Brown and James E. Steed; her parents, Sam B. and Lorena Hitt; sons, Bobby Ken Brown and John Mitchell Brown; brothers, Jerald Hitt and Leon Hitt; sisters, Dorothy Brown and Novelene Adams; and grandson, Jason Brown.

Survivors include a brother, George and wife Maxine Hitt of Tyler; grandson, Derek Brown; and 2 grandchildren.
