Ward Jackson

Funeral services for Ward Jackson, 72, of Gladewater, were held Wednesday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home chapel in Athens with Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating. Burial followed at New Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Jackson passed away June 23, 2007 in Tyler. He was born Nov. 18, 1934 in Brownsboro to the late Earl and Velma Debman Jackson.

He was a resident of Gladewater for 27 years and retired as owner and operator of tire stores.

Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lauralyn Jackson on May 26, 2007; and a sister, Gladys Bell.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Greg Jackson of Brownsboro, David Jackson and wife Kimberly of Gulfport, Miss., Danny Jackson of Arlington; brothers, Tilmer Doyle Jackson and wife Vivian of Tyler, Chester Jackson and wife Wanda Jean of Brownsboro; sisters and brothers-in-law, Merle Dickson of Tyler, Joyce Mick and husband Larry of Bedford, Jean Robertson and husband Billy Joe of Malakoff; grandchildren, John Clark Jackson and Gregory Jackson, both of Arlington, Everett Earl Jackson of Fairbanks, Alaska, Chrissy Bamberg of Hawkins, Pack Jackson and Luke Jackson, both of Gulfport, Miss., Victoria Jackson and Vianny Jackson, both of Tyler; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Arlen Dickson, Ronny Dickson, Danny Moffeit, Terry Moffeit, Jimmy Moffeit and E.G. Malloy.
