GO EAST, GO WEST, GO NORTH, GO SOUTH
I like colors red,
Blue and green.
Colors are beautiful, don't you agree?
I love to sing with all my might,
But it's not a song
When we don't sing together.
I don't know what to say,
But I'll say it anyway,
I just can't take it any more.
A dog and a cat together,
Have you seen this kind of sight?
I have, have you?
Go east, go west,
Go north, go south;
Wherever you go, count me out.

AN EAST TEXAS SKY
She prided herself on always having been a sky watcher.
She was primarily practiced
At laying on her back
In the cool green grass of the yard
And watching clouds go by ...
She had elevated this to an art form.
From her vantage point
She could discern cows, and cactus,
Cowboys and lariats.
A practiced, professional sky watcher.
That's what she told her friends
When they asked her what she did for a living.
It sure sounded better than claiming to be unemployed.

GOD'S PEACE
It's not the clothes that we wear;
It's not the way that we look;
It's the things that we do
That we learned from the Book.
It's not the games that we play;
It's not that we are so smart;
It's the words that we speak
That we've stored up in our heart.
It matters not if you're rich or poor;
I know, for I have been both.
It's how you treat your fellowman
That really counts the most.
Live your life with its ups and downs;
Forgive those who have done you wrong.
Forget what it was that they have done,
And God's Peace will make you strong.
