Union Hill Baptist The message for the Sunday morning service was brought by Matt Hollingsworth in the absence of Brother Bill. It was such a good message taken from Mark 10:46-52. Brother Matt is the Youth Minister at Sand Springs and it was our privilege and a great blessing to have him visit at Union Hill. I remind you again to make your plans to attend the Community Church Service to be held Sunday evening the 29th of July at New Hope United Methodist Church on FM 314, south of Brownsboro. The service begins at 6:00 p.m. Come join us for a wonderful evening with friends from the other area churches. The Community Church Service is one of the very best opportunities offered to folks in the Brownsboro area. Friday, July 20th will be Children's Day Out to the movies. This will be for children Kindergarten through the sixth grade, however younger children may attend if accompanied by an adult. Parents are also invited to come. Many thanks to J.R. Daniels for the following information about the Pre-Teen Camp held June 19-22 at Daniel Springs. J.R., along with three other adults accompanied fifteen of our kids, six girls and nine boys, to an awesome camp with "Woogie and His Team." Forty youngsters were saved during the three-day camp and the kids also raised eighteen hundred dollars for Philippino children. According to our reporter, it was a super camp. Remember that July 22nd, this coming Sunday, is "Parents Day." Though this day doesn't get much recognition, it should. Where would we be without them? Remember to do a little something extra special for your parents this Sunday. If your own parents are no longer with you, concentrate on things you can do to be a better parent yourself. Let's give thanks to our Heavenly Father for His love and His grace, and for providing us with our wonderful moms and dads. Hope your special day is a great one. How about starting it out by meeting us up on the hill!! |
