Body recovered from Lake Palestine Henderson County officials recovered the body of a Frankston man from Lake Palestine Monday afternoon. Steve John Stein, age 58, of Brierwood Bay Addition was reported missing about 1:30 a.m. Sunday. He was last seen at the Brierwood Bay P.O.A. public boat ramp as he was returning to the lake to do some night fishing. His body was recovered north of Brierwood Bay sub-division floating near the shoreline. Judge Sue Starnes, Justice of the Peace, Pct. 3, performed the inquest and ordered an autopsy. Stein's body was transferred to the Southeast Texas Forensic Center in Tyler for the autopsy. State Game Wardens from Henderson, Cherokee and Anderson counties assisted the Henderson County Sheriff's Office in the search for Mr. Stein's body. Deputy Kevin Hanes is the lead investigator in this case. |
