Alan McCune, son of Michael and Wanda McCune of Brownsboro, Texas, isn't in Texas anymore. Alan now resides in Beverly Hills amongst the rich and famous.

Just how did this small town boy from Texas end up in Beverly Hills starring on a major television show? McCune says, "I moved to Los Angeles about 4 years ago on a whim and never anticipated my life would be where it is today."

McCune, a 1996 BHS graduate, says that he took a job in retail sales and his life quickly changed when he started to meet Hollywood movers and shakers. "Ashlee Simpson was my neighbor and a lot of Hollywood people started to befriend me. Before I knew it I was working on Rodeo Drive, meeting everyone from Beyonce to Renee Zellweger."

McCune's experience on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills led to him hobnobbing with celebrities and attending awards shows and movie pre- mieres. "The first movie premiere I attended was Surviving Christmas with Ben Affleck. When I went down the red carpet the paparazzi went crazy and my picture ended up all over the internet, it was surreal."

McCune's first Television appearance was on the FOX hit television show Hell's Kitchen. "My friend Darren Bettencourt is a Hollywood producer and he invited me to attend Hell's Kitchen with two Beverly Hills socialites, Suzan Hughes and Mary Jones, and we ended up on the television show."

Bettencourt also played an integral part in Alan's next venture, as the assistant to American Idol's Paula Abdul. "Darren met Paula at a reception for Hillary Clinton and she told him she needed an assistant. He sent me to her and the rest, as they say, is history." Alan worked for Paula during the 2007 season of American Idol. When Idol ended, he was hired by billionaire socialite, Suzan Hughes. "Suzan has an exercise product called Rollermax that all of the celebrities use. She also has several TV shows that she is working on; it is thrilling to work for her."

So how did Alan McCune end up on Victoria Beckham, Coming to America?

"Suzan is the most famous socialite in Beverly Hills and a neighbor of Tom Cruise. NBC approached Suzan to welcome Victoria to town. Suzan threw a luncheon for Victoria and it was filmed for her TV show. Since it is a reality show, I play the role of Suzan's assistant, of course."

Alan's future looks bright with another TV show in the works that he will star in. "My friend Darren and I created a television show that I will star in with Suzan Hughes. It is in the early stages of development and should be on TV sometime next year."

Asked if he ever dreamed of being a star, McCune says, "No, I never had any ambitions of stardom, but God has led me down this path."

McCune does want to make one thing clear, the road to Hollywood has not been as easy as it may seem. "It was difficult growing up in Brownsboro. I was constantly picked on in school and always seemed to be the underdog, but I love Brownsboro and am very proud of my roots because they have made me who I am today. Life wasn't always easy and I thank God for the strength I have gained from my experiences. I hope to visit Brownsboro real soon and help those who are underprivileged. "

McCune says he has one message for his fellow Texans, "Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something because I am living proof that if you put your mind to it, anything is possible."
