Letters To The Editor Once upon a time about 12 or so years ago I had just graduated beauty school and begun to work here in Brownsboro. One Saturday morniing this young man walks into the shop and simply said, "Can you fix this haircut?" It took all of maybe five minutes, and when asked what he owed I said, "Nothing., this time, if you will remember me next time you need a haircut." We laughed and he left, and 12 years later I still have the honor to cut not only his hair but his precious son's too. Now you wonder what the big deal about a man's haircut is and now I will tell you. I know he could, at anytime, have gone anywhere and got a `haircut' but I always felt because of that one Saturday he never faultered on his word about coming back. Through the years I have respected his opinion on so many levels, perhaps something I didn't feel was going the way I thought it should at school. Of course he would listen to my opinion so patiently and then he would say, "Now, can I give you a different perspective? " and by the time he was done I knew 99.9 percent of the time he was right and I was wrong. I say all of this to let you know I am so proud to call this man not just a client, but my FRIEND and our new high school principal.
God has truly blessed our town, not only with this man, but his wife and son. I look so forward to the works that he is going to bring to our school and town. |
