Garry Stroman

Services for Garry L. "Pop" "Chief" Stroman, 67, Chandler were held Tuesday at Tyler Memorial Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Cary Ponder officiating.

Burial was in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Stroman died July 28, 2007 at his residence.

He was born February 9, 1940 in Texarkana to the late Melvin L. and Louise Stroman. He lived in the Tyler area most of his life, retired in 1999 from Tyler Pipe after 38 years service, and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by son, Chris Stroman, and sister, Peggy Thomas.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Stroman, Chandler; son, Brent Stroman, Chandler; daughters, Kim Sloan, Swan, Tammy Moss and Pam Ortiz, both of Tyler; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Mike Crocker, Juan Ortiz, Justin Stephenson, Pete Garner, Perry Joe Smith and Jeremy Peek.

Honorary pallbearers were Arthur Baldwin, Johnny Nelly, Davis Moss, Jimmy Sloan, Charles Gideon, Troy Brown, Johnny Freeman and Gene Royal.
