Faith Baptist Chandler
by Melva Allison

The Lord continues to bless us with great singing and preaching in our worship services, as well as new members joining our church family, and many visitors in our services.

Our pastor, Bro. David Darst, is assisting with a revival at his former pastorate at Hilltop Baptist Church in Alto this week. Be in prayer for those services. In his absence, Robert Bench will be filling the pulpit at Faith Baptist.

Our youth had a great time at youth camp at Glorietta, New Mexico. They came back excited to be serving the Lord and shared with the church family some of their experiences. Andy and Gina Tucker were among the sponsors, and while there attended conferences regarding Sunday School. They are sharing information on how to have a growing Sunday School/Bible study with the congregation on Sunday nights.

The adult game night last Friday was well attended. In addition to the games, the group enjoyed a fellowship meal.

The Top of the Hill Gang will have lunch at the Cracker Barrel in Lindale on Friday, August 10, at 11:30.

Caserole Care will meet for dinner at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, August 13.

Our Ministry of the Month is the Family Enrichment Center in Tyler. Dick Jarrett teaches a Bible study every Sunday morning for the boys enrolled at the center.

A garage sale sponsored by Faith Baptist Women's Ministries and the ETMC Cancer Support Group will be held August 10-11 in the fellowship hall, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Proceeds will go to the Women's Ministries and to Support Group for craft classes and the annual camp for adult cancer survivors. Everyone is encouraged to come and support these two worthwhile ministries.

Several families are enjoying summer vacations. Robert and Melva Allison have returned from a trip to Tennessee, enjoying the sites at Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, and Nashville.

We invite all those who do not have a church home and who would like to be part of a loving church family to join us in our weekly worship services and activities.
