Ruby Bishop

Mrs. Ruby Bishop, 72, of Brownsboro passed away August 2, 2007 in Chandler. Services were held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2007 at Rock Hill Baptist Church, Brownsboro, with Bro. Tommy Weems officiating.

Interment was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton, Texas under direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.

She was born November 23, 1934 in Hannah, Oklahoma, to the late Tom and Annie Reynolds Schneider. She was a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church in Brownsboro. "Mrs. Ruby" as she was known to many in the community, shared the Brownsboro news with everyone who ventured into the Holiman Store and other local businesses. She never failed to brighten the day of store patrons with a warm smile and friendly conversation. She saw many come and go, and truly enjoyed all the friends she made over the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Bishop; brothers, Tommy, Arthur and James Schneider; sisters, Mary Bell and Edna Mae.

Survivors include six children, Chuck Bishop and wife Susan, Texarkana, Tx., Charlotte Richardson, Brownsboro, Charlene Reppond and husband Scotty, Como, Texas, Robert Sanders and wife Joselene, Stockton, CA, David Bishop, Brownsboro, Suzy Groothuis and husband Scott, Brownsboro; 2 step-children, Charles Bishop and wife Brenda, Hot Springs, Arkansas and Cheryl Herron and husband Sam, Copperas Cove, Texas; 3 sisters, Effie, Vera and Gladys; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jeremy Richardson, Lance Reppond, Chris Bishop, David Bishop, Jr., Jeremy Bishop, and Devin Groothuis.
