In our pastor's absence, Bro. Robert Bench, brought a wonderful message Sunday morning about the blessings the Lord provides based on Matthew 6.

Joley Bray blessed us with special music in our morning service.

Gina and Andy Tucker have been presenting information about having an effective Sunday School on Sunday evenings. We are looking forward to implementing these suggestions to help us minisgames ter to our community.

A marriage retreat has been scheduled for October 5-7 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. For additional information, contact Ronda Cade or Gina Tucker.

Seventeen members of the Top of the Hill Gang enjoyed lunch on Friday, August 10, at The Cracker Barrel in Lindale. Those attending were Jerry and Joyce Houston, Paul and Betty Peavy, Stephen and Connie Giles, Jack and Maxine Barnes, Joe and Mary Waddill, Warren and Nita LeMaster, Paul and Dorothy McMillan, Chris Weeks, Benita Carver, and Lee Godsey. Their next meeting will be at Springcreek Barbeque in Tyler on September 14.

Casserole Care met for dinner on Monday, August 13, and prepared food for those who are sick. They also made plans for the Women's Ministries during the upcoming months.

The garage sale sponsored by Faith Baptist Women's Ministries and the ETMC Cancer Support Group was a great success with proceeds totaling approximately $1,800.00. The proceeds will go to the Women's Ministries and to Support Group for craft classes and the annual camp for adult cancer survivors. We appreciate all those who contributed merchandise and those who made purchases. Thanks to the community for supporting the event.

Ken and Bobbie Redfearn and family have returned from a relaxing vacation on the beach in Florida.

Wednesdays - 8:00 a.m. Men's Bible Study; 5:00-6:00 p.m. fellowship meal (to be resumed in September); 6:00 p.m. Youth Bible Study; 6:15 p.m. Adult Bible Study/Prayer Meeting.

Thursdays - 7:00 a.m. Men's Prayer Breakfast; 1st & 3rd Thursdays at 10:45 a.m. Women's Prayer Group.
