1st Baptist Chandler
by Joanne Davis

At First Baptist we are a Bible believing and teaching church. It is our desire to see Jesus radically change lives. Do you struggle with a hurt? Jesus can heal that hurt. Are you fighting an addiction? With Christ you can overcome. There is a road to recovery and the map is found in the Bible.

Do you need a change in your life? Is there something missing in your life that you just cannot seem to find? Come to Jesus; He is what you have been looking for your whole life. Jesus Christ is calling out to you and waiting for you to take that first step. That first step may well be to join our Celebrate Recovery classes. We have started the classes and they meet on Friday, 6:30-7:30p.m. These classes are held in the old Fellowship Hall.

Brother Danny and his family are on vacation this week and will return Monday, August 13th.

As we approach the fall season, our GAs, Pre-teen Boys, Sunday School classes and other activities will again be in full swing. That means we will have an increased need for supplies for all of these groups.

We keep a central supply closet, called our Resource Closet. Some of the needs we have to re-supply this closet include: crayons, markers, drawing and construction paper, poster boards, scissors, pens, pencils, erasers, stickers, stamps and stamp pads, glue sticks, colored pencils. How about you? Can you donate something to this closet" Let's keep the children well supplied for their activities.

If you long for a life that has significance and meaning and do not have a church home, please join us Sunday morning at 9:45 for Sunday School, and at 11:00 for morning worship. If you have younger children, we also have a Children's Church (Castle) for those up through 3rd grade.

Sunday evening services are at 6:00. Nursery is provided for our Sunday services. Wednesday evening services begin at 6:30 and there are activities for grades K-high school and adults. Why not let us help you learn how to read your map (Bible) on the road to recovery and radical discipleship?
