Following the "Frankston Playday", a scrimmage in Frankston, the Varsity Bearettes opened up their 2007 volleyball season at home in Brownsboro on Tuesday afternoon.

Prior to the varsity Bearettes taking the court the JV Bearettes defeated the Kemp Lady Jackets 25-22 and 25-10 to claim the best of three sets.

While waiting on the officials to arrive the JV defeated Kemp once more, this time by the score of 25-14.

Led by seniors Amber Strickland and Chelsea Chimney the Bearettes rallied to win the first match of the season 25-22.

Brownsboro trailed 1-7 to begin the set before head coach Becky Daughtry called a timeout.

After the timeout the Bearettes rallied back to tie the game at nine before assuming control the rest of the way through.

Brownsboro won the second match 25-20 as Naomi Scott served the final five points to seal the deal.
