West Lake Baptist "Back to School Bash": Darren Collins of "Throwing Up Ministries," will be our guest on Sunday, September 2 at 4:00 p.m. for the annual back to school bash. Each year we're thrilled to host around 300 for this annual event. Darren Collins is a Christian comedian and juggler, who has thrilled audiences in 40 states and around the world with his high energy performance. The event is free - and you are invited to attend. Prizes will be awarded to those in attendance. "Sunday" we celebrate a wonderful day of worship at WLBC. We're grateful for the continued growth and spirit of anticipation and excitement. WLBC offers over 23 Sunday school options, numerous small groups, three choirs, an instrumental ensemble, weekly childrens' church, etc., and numerous other ministries and activities. Our young adult, children's nursery and singles departments continue to grow. We are committed to practical, indepth Bible teaching that answers real life questions, and we are committed to upbeat, authentic worship that reflects LIFE - the life of a risen Savior. You are invited to come and see what the excitement is all about!! "Women's Ministry": All ladies are invited for food and fellowship on Thursday, August 30, 6:30-9:00 p.m. in Fellowship Hall. "Celebrate Recovery" - This confidential, Christbased recovery program is offered on Tuesday nights. Contact Kirby Noel for further information at 849-6261. "Will God Heal MY Heart?" This new Sunday morning sermon series will explore the path to freedom from repeated patterns of hurt and defeat that often quietly burden the hearts of Christians. Titles include "Exposing Private Walls," "Slaying Emotional Dragons, " "First Aid for Church Bruises"; and "The Road to Wholeness."
