Chandler Council approves rezoning

Chandler City Council held their regular scheduled meeting August 14, 2007. No requests by citizens were brought up which were not on the agenda.

The board did grant Janet Berry/Neches Construction the right to rezone Simon Weiss Survey AB799 Tr 92A from R-1 SF detached district to a Planned Development District. With an amendment the R-1 SF will not be changed to a PD but to an R-2 SF. The council hesitated to make the amendment, but was assured by planning and zoning commission that it was the right choice.

Second on the agenda was the motion to act upon adopting the National Incident Management System as the standard for incident management by the city of Chandler. The motion to sign was passed.

Last on the agenda was to consider and act upon amending the land lease agreement with Alltel Communications. The motion was approved once an agreement was made between the board and Alltel of a $10,000 sign on bonus, $9,000 starting this year as well as a three percent increase each following year.
