LETTER TO THE EDITOR: This is a follow-up to Mrs. Hall's "Just following the rules." I among a lot of other citizens in Chandler was just amazed that Mrs. Hall would not even mention the fact that Mr. and Mrs. Coy Ellis have lost their home due to no fault of their own. It seems to me and others that she would rather bash me, than to address the real problems in Chandler. Mrs. Hall says she just follows the rules, but whose rules? Since I wrote the Letter to the Editor on the problems Mr. Ellis has, I got a lot of calls from citizens that think we should get a recall petition, but my thinking on this is just wait until the next election and vote them out. I'm sure they think it can't be done, but there is a lot of upset people now the way they handled Mr. Ellis' problems. By then Chandler may be so far in debt that they can't recover. As far as Mrs. Hall thinking she has to spend so much time taking care of Chandler's business, maybe she should just resign. I would hate for her to break her hand patting herself on the back. * "Attorney General Opinion JM-100 (1983) also cautioned that a discussion in an executive session held under this exception may relate only to a legal proceeding or legal matter. General discussion of policy, unrelated to legal matters is not permitted under the language of (this exception) merely because an attorney is present." * 2000 Open Meetings Handbook.
