From the... Editor's Desk
Your paper - your way
By Chad Wilson

The Statesman has been a part of the Chandler and Brownsboro community for 31 years and has always kept the standard of local news first.

Over the past three years since I have been with the paper several things have changed but one thing has always remained the same, your news in your paper.

As I have said in previous "Editor's Desk" columns The Statesman would not be where it is today without our loyal readers and advertisers.

Since I began this column I have had several people in the community express their opionons on it. I am happy to say those that have expressed their opionion have all enjoyed the column and changes to the paper as a whole.

We want to continue to provide you with the news you want to read. As part of that desire we have recently hired Nathan Straus to cover local news items and to write feature stories about those things in the community that are important to you.

If you have any suggestions of feature story ideas or things you would like to see in the paper please let us know.

You may contact us by using the contact information in the lefthand column of this page.

Some of the goals we have for future stories and coverage include the return of the "Cook of the Week" column, City of Murchison coverage and feature stories on local people who make an impact on our community.

We are currently accepting applications for part-time office help. The job would require someone who is experienced in Microsoft Word and Excel and would be available 20 hours a week, including all day on Tuesdays.

Thank you again for your support of The Statesman, our desire is to continue to be the community paper that you are proud of.
