Fifty golden years

Mr. & Mrs. W.M. Compton

Married on August 17, 1957 William Compton and Margaret Lackey Compton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Lakeview Lodge in Athens.

The reception held on Friday, August 3 was made special by more than 100 friends and family that attended the event.

Mr. and Mrs. Compton have five children, 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

As a testament to their faith in Christ, all five of their children are serving the Lord as are their grandchildren.

The Comptons are the founders of Hope Community Church in Murchison, where they still attend church today.
