"Annual Back To School Bash": Sunday Sept. 2nd at 4:00 p.m. with a free pizza blast to follow. Each year we are thrilled to host around 300 children for a high energy back to school celebration. Our guest will be Darren Collins, (of Throwing Up Ministries)- a Christian comedian, juggler, magician who travels throughout the year, and has been in 40 states, and 14 countries. There will be free drawings for prizes, and free pizza. You are invited to this free, no obligation event!!!

"Women Of Faith Conference ": 23 ladies from WLBC attended the Women of Faith Conference in Dallas Texas this past weekend. We appreciate Reagan Bennett, the event coordinator.

Sunday Worship: It was another amazing Sunday of worship - a packed house, an excitement about God's presence, and numerous guests (God continues to send many young couples and families our way- our nurseries and kid's churches are growing week by week) We are excited about the future and so grateful to all of you guests, who continue to come to WLBC and see what all of the excitement is about. If you enjoy, blended worship that is alive- designed to flow and inspire an authentic worship experience from the heart and not just the head, come and check us out.

"Kids Promotion Sunday ": 44 children (1st - 6th grade) attended a combined fellowship Sunday a.m. during Sunday School in the fellowship hall before moving to their new classrooms for Sunday School. We appreciate the teachers, coordinators, cooks, and helpers, and all the kids. It's going to be a great year!

Mission West Lake: The WLBC foodbank will be Wednesday September 5th from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Baby Shower: A shower will be given for Mary Jane stamps, Tuesday September 4th at the home of Keith and Denise Davis, from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m

Kidz Choir: Children's Choir resumes Wednesday September 5 at 6:30 p.m. We appreciate Nancy Hopson, the children's choir director, and her assistants who do a wonderful service of preparing the choir for the concerts that will be presented throughout the year.

Singin' Saintz: The Senior Adult Choir will resume Tuesday September 5, with a fellowship at 9:30 and rehearsal at 10:00 a.m. The choir will be preparing for the annual statewide senior adult choir festival and for the other presentations that they will do throughout the year.

Worship Ensemble Rehearsal: Our musical ensemble (brass, woodwinds, percussion, keyboard, bass, piano) , and vocal praise team, meets at 5:00 p.m on Sundays. God has blessed us with great musicians- many of whom have college level musical training and experience.

Softball: The 3 WLBC teams, each play Monday night in Tyler at Lindsey park. WLBC has one men's team, which won first place this past season, and two coed teams.

Women of Faith Conference:

Celebrate Recovery : Meets on Tuesday nights, and is led by Kirby Noel.

"Will God Heal MY Heart?": Is the title of the pastor's new Sunday a.m. sermon series, which explores the pathway to freedom in Christ from past pains, hardships, and hang ups. Titles include: "Exposing Private Walls"; "Slaying Emotional Dragons" " First Aid For Church Bruises", and " The Road To Wholeness ".
