Brownsboro F.U.M.C. Ernest and I would like to thank all those who have been praying for our daughter-inlaw Betty. Being a newly diagnosed diabetic has been very scary for her and our family, and when she was placed in ICU for sugar over 500, that made it worse. It may be weeks before she can see a specialist. We know she is in God's hands and we pray for His will to be done. I was watching an animated movie that was cute but silly. You know the kind, animated cows, dogs, snails, etc. talking, out to save a town. The creatures are looking for diamonds while flying in a talking balloon at night the snail asked the cow if she ever wanted to be a star. Now he's looking at God's heavenly creation when she says yes. He said "Looking down on everyone, so bright and shining." "Yes," and she rambles about riding a limo. At this point you know they are talking about two different kinds of stars. He rambles about people looking up at you admiring you being a light to see by. "Yes, oh yes" was her reply. I began to think about us humans and how we can take two different spins n one subject. The snail identifying with God's wonderful creation while the cow was into what she wanted, her own desires to be seen, worshipped, earthly rewards. In God's great scheme of things what are you? A snail seeking heavenly beauty or a cow focused on earthly rewards. Have a blessed week. We continue to pray for Betty Fitzgerald and Emerson Chapman. Hope they are both back in the swing of things soon. |
