Signs of promise during JV Bears opening loss
      Freshman Ryan Owens took charge of the Junior Varsity Bears offense last Thursday night in Brownsboro and completed 55% of his passes in his first high school game. Owens, new to BISD from Cayuga, completed 11-20 passes for 65 yards in the Bears' 19-0 loss to Jacksonville.

      They fought hard but after four quarters of play the Freshman Bears fell to the Jacksonville Indians by the score of 30- 0 last Thursday in Brownsboro. Brownsboro will look to notch a win tonight as they take on the Mt. Vernon Tigers. Scheduled kickoff time is 5:00pm in Brownsboro.
