Hello and hope your week has gone well, from "The Little Church with the Big Smile."

The sermon this Sunday was from Genesis 45:16-25, "The wagons are coming." It was brought by Bro. Russell Kuhns.

Jared Staggs will be leaving for Baghdad on the 6th. He is the son of Vicki and Layne Staggs. Also, happy birthday to Jared on the 4th. God will take care of you.

Those celebrating birthdays this past week were, Shirley Doty, Donna Jennings, Floyd Douzart and Emily Bynum. Many more happy birthdays.

We had quite a large number in church this Sunday. We had one couple to stop and worship with us from Weatherford. They were driving by and stopped!

Next Sunday, Sept. 9 is an exciting time! It will be our Homecoming. Bro. Mack Smith and his boys will be bringing our music along with some local talent. Bro. Mack has recorded several religious CDs. So plan on coming and listening to him. Lunch will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Our youth, under Ricky Daily's leadership returned Saturday from a Youth Retreat at Sky Ranch. They were tired, but received a real blessing also.

Our condolences to Vivian Brown on the death of her uncle. He died in Arp Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Luker returned recently from Florida. They took their garnddaughter home after spending the summer with them. It was good to see them back at church Sunday.

Mark your calendars for the 30th of September. That is the day the Youth of the church have the services. They always have a great service.
