Faith Baptist Chandler
by Melva Allison

Bro. David has been preaching a series of sermons on Christian service that reminds us all that we are to be working for the Lord. These messages are very timely since our new church year begins September 1.

We have been blessed to have good attendance and many guests in our services. We welcome Eva Shelby and Thelma Fletcher as new members.

The Magdalene Sunday School class hosted a party for the senior adult ladies classes on Saturday, August 25. A delicious dinner was served, and the tables were beautifully decorated. Our thanks to the Sisters Gift Box for providing centerpieces for the tables. Joyce Houston won the door prize. She received three CD's of hymns along with books telling about the hymns and authors.

After dinner, ministry plans were made for the upcoming new church year. Those in attendance were Melva Allison, Maxine Barnes, Benita Carver, Thelma Fletcher, Freda Forrester, Joyce Houston, Dot Jenkins, Nita LeMaster, June Mays, Sue Pitts, Bettye Redfearn, Eva Shelby, Helen Shifrin, Pat Sweeney, Mary Waddill, Chris Weeks, and Marie Wilson.
