It was a tough week last week for the Brownsboro Varsity Volleyball team as they were defeated at home on Tuesday by Mount Pleasant before being beaten on the road in Jacksonville Friday.

While playing in front of the home crowd on Tuesday the Bearettes were swept by the Mt. Pleasant Lady Tigers in three games, 14-25, 23-25 and 17-25.

Hillary Shaffer and Chelsea Chimney each had two kills and one ace. Sabrina Bradley added two blocks for the Bearettes.

The teams battled back and forth for much of the first two matches before the Lady Tigers pulled away in each. In the second game Brownsboro rallied to tie the game at 21 before falling 23-25. Chelsea Chambers had four service points in a row during game two giving the Bearettes a 11-6 lead.

Both sub-varsity teams defeated the Lady Tigers last Tuesday.

The Junior Varsity team lost the first match before winning 25-23 and 25-19. The freshman swept the Lady Tigers 25-20 and 25-22.
