LOVE NEVER FAILS

Father God, please help us to never lose sight of our vision
to spend Eternity with You and our Lord Jesus.
We all have chasms to cross, some more than others.
Maybe we need to forgive someone who has hurt us deeply.
For some it may be growing beyond the loss of a dear loved
one. It is accepting what we can't change and changing
what we can change.
Father, please make something beautiful out of the pain
we must bear and help us by Your mercy and amazing grace
to make it to the other side. Please transform our pain into
a blessing for many others who are hurting too. Only You
can do this, Father. Our hope is in Your love, Your mercy,
and Your amazing grace. Your love, Father, will not fail us,
because You promised and You keep Your promises.
In Jesus' precious name we pray, Amen.

SMALL GLIMPSES

No one has ever watched
in the early gray dawn
a day's borning
Or seen the first pink rays
of a glorious sunrise
on a spring morning.
And not have caught a glimpse
of God's creation.
One who has watched the giant oak
buffeted by the gale,
yet still standing strong,
Or stood beneath the stately pines
and listened to the murmurs
of the zephyr's song.
Has felt the awesome greatness
of God's creation.
And after the violence of the storm
is done, the rainbow's
brilliant hue,
God's promise of his bow
in the clouds, and clearing
skies of blue.
Then our soul knows the beauty
of God's creation.

FATHER

Remember to walk slowly,
Each step a memory.
Holding her hand
The time has flown.
Not enough, it is gone
So many things left unsaid, undone.
Time to let her go
Her mother and I.

LOVE ME NOW

If you are ever going to love me,
Love me now, while I can know
The sweet and tender feelings
Which from true affection flow.
Love me now
While I am living.
Do not wait until I'm gone
And then have it chiseled in marble,
Sweet words on ice-cold stone.
If you have tender thoughts of me,
Please, tell me now.
If you wait until I am sleeping,
Never to awaken,
There will be death between us,
And I won't hear you then.
So, if you love me, even a little bit,
Let me know it while I am living
So I can treasure it.
