Martin Springs Baptist

Greetings from Martin Springs Baptist. Hope you had a blessed week.

We had about 90 for our services Sunday. It was Homecoming and what a wonderful service we had! Mack Smith and his boys did a wonderful job, as always. Our very own song director, Ricky Daily sang a special also.

Guest of Bro. David and Ann Tidmore were her parents, Ed and Doris Rowe.

Bro. David Tidmore's sermon was from II Peter, "What a wonderful day that will be!" We concluded our service with the hymn "What A Day That Will Be."

Then everyone went to the fellowship hall for lunch, and we all had a great fellowship together. And lots of food!

Bro. Ike Johnson, our former pastor was here from Nacogdoches with his wife Sue. A special treat for all. He did our altar call.

Also visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Al Youngblood from Arkansas. They recently moved there because of health problems. We had several other visitors. I didn't get all the names but we are glad you were here.

Birthdays this past week were, Betty Vick, Jared Staggs, Sue Johnson, Cybil Rast, Charles Shafer and Andrew Tidmore. We wish you many more blessed birthdays to come.

A wedding shower for Elana Tidmore and Ryan Poniatowski will be held at 2:00 p.m. September 15 in the fellowship hall of Martin Springs Baptist Church. Everyone is invited.

Mrs. Pat Bridges has been in the hospital but is now at home.

Remember Youth Sunday, September 30th. The Youth have the services and they are awesome!
