In the absence of Pastor Bill Hamilton, who along with other members of the Wheels of Mercy Ministry were on a road trip to the Carolinas, Brother Trevor Morris delivered the sermon on Sunday morning and it was one dynamic sermon. The young Brother Trevor is a marvelous young preacher and we are always blessed with his presence. Also, with us again on Sunday, was Brother Tom Atwell and his wife Michelle. Brother Tom led our praise and worship service and he too was a blessng to the congregation. Special music was performed by Kim Brown. This talented young woman has a beautiful voice and you could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit as she sang the words, "I know Who holds tomorrow and I know Who holds my hand."

Some of the youth from Union Hill will be attending "Youth 4 Heaven" to be held Saturday, September 22nd from 5:00-8:00 p.m. If you are interested in going, contact Ms. Audra at the church and meet her there at 4:00 p.m. Saturday when they will be leaving for Murchison. There will be food, a praise band and a special speaker.

Movie night at the church has been moved to September 28th. Mark your calendar; it will be a fun night starting at 7:00 p.m.

Keep in mind that the Camp Out is just around the corner. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board. In order to have enough food prepared, we will need to know if you plan to attend. We have only a few spots left where we need help, so if you can fill one of these, please let Steve know soon. Will have more details next week.

Another eagerly awaited festivity coming up is the Fall Fest and Silent Auction. It's time to start planning. That means we need wrapped candy and lots of volunteers. Reserve Wednesday, October 31st and plan to be here for all the fun. Also, this is when the Ladies Ministry has their annual Silent Auction. Be thinking about some really unique thing you can donate. More next week.

The Women's Ministry has laid out plans for some very exciting happenings coming up. First, is a new Beth Moore Bible study beginning the last week of September. The study will be offered on Monday mornings and Sunday afternoons. A sign-up sheet is now on the bulletin board. Join Beth Moore in a faith-building study of prophecy and learn how to shine for Christ in our modern culture. More exciting things coming up in December. Will give you more details as the time approaches.

This is an exciting time of the year and things grow more exciting as the holidays approach so come, join in and be a part of the events from the beginning. As Brother Trevor told us Sunday morning, we don't want to just be "doing" Church on Sunday morning, we want you to come and be involved. As he said, let's hold each other up through the tough times, love each other through the heartaches and problems and let's laugh and be joyful during the happy times. That's what families do, isn't it, and we are all part of God's family, aren't we? See you on the hill.
