"Back to School, Again" - In a world of moral confusion and compromise, it is essential to hold to God's unchanging plan regarding life and the issues of life. In this new, straightforward Sunday morning sermon series by the pastor, we'll review what the Bible DOES teach about pressing topics of today. Sermon titles include: "Study Hall": (What Does God Expect of Me?); "Sex Ed": (What Does God Think About Sex?); "Science " (What Does God Teach About Creation Evolution?); "Home Ec." (What Does God Want From a Family?); "Phys. Ed": (What Does God Say About my Body?); "Social Studies" (What Does God Want in my Relationships?).

Kidz Ministry - Sunday morning the pastor recognized all of the dedicated workers who work with our children in children's church, kidz choir, Sunday school, and missions activities. Our children's ministries continue to grow and require additional workers.

Fall Festival - On Halloween Night, this Christ centered, annual Christian alternative to traditional Halloween will be held at WLBC on Wednesday, October 31. Admission is free. You're invited to a fun night featuring games, food and prizes.

"See You at the Pole" - This annual event will be on September 26th. Our youth will participate n this community wide event at Faith Baptist Church in Chandler on Wednesday evening.

Choir News - The Singin' Saintz, WLBC's senior adult choir has resumed meeting on Tuesdays at 9:30am. The children's choir meets each Wednesday at 6:30pm, and the adult Celebration Choir meets Wednesdays at 7:15pm, after the Wednesday Pastor's Bible Study.

WMU Day of Prayer - the WMU met Wednesday, September 12 for prayer and an informative discussion about Texas Mission in light of the Mary Hill Davis State Offering which is currently underway.

Evangels Sunday School Class held their monthly meeting in the Agape classroom Thursday at 2:00pm. The class is taught by Linda McQuaid.

WMU Birthday Party - The WMU will host the monthly birthday party for the Chandler Nursing Center residents on Wednesday, September 19, at 10:00am.

The Spiritual War on Terror - Can a Christian be demon possessed? Do ghosts really exist? What power does Satan really have? In the pastor 's new Sunday evening teaching series, we'll explore these and other questions. Titles in "The Spiritual War on Terror " series include: "The Ultimate Terrorist" (Understanding Who Satan Is); "Enemy Combatants" (The World of Demons); "Inside the Terror Cell" (The Enemy's Plan for Your Destruction); "Homeland Security " (Keeping Yourself Free from Satan's Attack).
