Letter to the Editor EDITOR At Chandler Elementary, where are we supposed to park? I went to drop my grandson at school this morning and parked where I had been instructed by school personnel to park. When I came out of the building, a "lady" approached and informed me that I had blocked her parking space. I apologized and told her I was unaware that I had blocked her space. She rudely told me she "appreciated me blocking her space" and as a result had to park somewhere else. She then turned abruptly and walked into the school. As I went to my truck, I was ale to see that I had accidentally blocked the principal's parking space. This verbal exchange took place in front of school-aged children. Schoolaged children are always watching what we do as adults, and this is how they learn to interact with each other. The principal, Sonya McCoy of the school should be professional and remember that the children are always watching. With this type of behavior no wonder our children are learning to be disrespectful to each other. Christine Smith Chandler, TX |
